Marriage preparation is an investment in your future together. It affirms and celebrates your areas of strength as a couple while helping you to explore growth areas in your relationship.
Whether you’ve established a life and home together already, or you’re earlier on in your relationship, it provides useful tools so you can create and nurture a healthy, loving relationship.
My Marriage Preparation Course involves four steps. I recommend beginning at least 4-5 months prior to your wedding.
Complete the online Prepare-Enrich Relationship Inventory questionnaire to identify your unique strengths and challenges as a couple.
Enjoy four 75-minute sessions with me where we’ll work through the results from your questionnaire and complete various exercises to help celebrate and strengthen your relationship. Topics we’ll work through may include marriage expectations, personality issues, communication, conflict resolution, leisure activities, sexual relationship, children and parenting, family and friends, roles in the relationship, belief system, closeness, and flexibility.
When you’ve completed the course, I’ll provide you with a Marriage Preparation Certificate of Completion, which is sometimes required by your Minister or Marriage Officiant.
A few months after your wedding, you’ll receive a complimentary check-in session to reflect on your early days of marriage and any highlights you want to explore since your wedding.
